Cheese Waffles: A low-carb and high-protein breakfast

Ingredients:   – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 4 teaspoons baking powder – 1 teaspoon salt – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 2 large egg – 1 cup milk – 2 tablespoons melted butter – 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese blend)

1. Preheat your waffle iron and grease it with some butter or cooking spray.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar).

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients (eggs, milk, and melted butter).

4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

5. Fold in the shredded cheese.

6. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the center of the waffle iron and spread it out to the edges.

7. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.

8. Serve hot and enjoy!
